Glory to Jesus Christ!

Dear Friends,

A few years ago one deacon in my parish made a strong push for standing on Sundays in place of kneeling, as well as for 40 days after Pascha. Many of the new comers to the parish caught on, but we have not taught the appropriate times for kneeling on other days. Now all of the standers stand all the time and never kneel.

From my understanding kneeling is appropriate for ordinary weekdays during the anaphora at Litrugy. Is this correct?? I want to double check this before I start mentioning it.

I am most interested in the practice of the BCC and UGCC.

Thanks and best wishes to Everyone!
Stefan-Ivan

Dear Stefan,

In the UGCC, it would depend on the parish.

We're like Anglicans with "High" and "Low" parishes, you know! smile

Those who don't kneel on Sundays, probably don't ever kneel (except in private prayer).

Those who kneel on Sundays . . .

Alex
