Dear Forumites,

There was a topic here about the Julian Calendar, but I cannot find it now.

I remember something about the Julian Calendar and how it was beneficial to astronomers or something. If someone could please let me know more about this, or recommend a book, I would appreciate it.

Dear Daniil,

An astrophysicist who used to post here and was a new convert to the Church discussed how astronomers prefer the Julian Calendar as it begins at "O" and other issues.

But he no longer posts here, and won't be able to, I understand.

I don't know if his post is still around.

If you find something on that matter, could you let me know? My latin professor was interested in the matter. However, he is Ukrainian Catholic on the new calendar. Maybe if he heard this argument for the Julian Calendar, he might switch to the Old! Hahaha!
