While the linked news story identifies the beheaded priest as "Fr. Amer Iskender," AsiaNews names him as "Fr. Paulos Eskandar, a Syrian-Orthodox priest." Even then, he is a Christian priest. http://www.asianews.it/view.php?l=en&art=7463 This heinous crime leads to further emigration of Christians out of Iraq! may be John Esposito needs to think over his position that Islam and Christianity can co exist. they cannot. what fellowship does light have with darkness? the murder of a simple inoffensive Priest proves what many of us have been saying here.
