Many Years!!!!!
The bishop is known as a skilled administrator who I am sure will help the Church with its pastoral, material and evanglistic goals. He is also a dedicated Ukrainian patriot. He served as Archexarch of central and eastern Ukraine, which earned him some criticism from some non-Ukrainians sensitive (or hypersensitive) on ecumencial matters. But he is truly beloved by loyal Ukrainians everywhere.

Very cool!
I have a friend from the Ukraine who knows Bishop Husar. He is reportedly "very Eastern," and supports a return to Eastern Traditions.

I have known His Grace Lubomyr since 1990, when he was here (Lublin, Poland) at the Congress of Laity of the UGCC. I lived about three weeks with him in his Studion monastery in Italy, just before his return to Ukraine (1993).

His Beatitude Lubomyr [...] resided at the Studion Monastery in Grottaferrata, Rome until 1992, when he returned to live in Ukraine. Well, he CERTAINLY resided in Marino NEAR Grottaferrata in 1993. I lived with him there and helped to pack books. Peter

Just as a side note, His Beatitude Patriarch Lubomyr Husar is a U.S. citizen.
