Does anyone have any information on the Melkite Wedding Liturgy? I can't imagine it's much different than in most other Eastern Churches, BUT I just wanted to make sure.

Any other resources, including online photo albums, wouldn't hurt either.

Dear Earl,

Welcome to the Forum!

I don't have as much material on the Melkite Crowning liturgy as I would like. What I have is a booklet, "With Glory and Honor, Catechesis on the Mystery of Crowning": by the Melkite Eparchy of Newton Office of Educational Services.

http://www.melkite.org/Educational%20Services%20Publications.htm

It has b&w photos. It is written to aquaint engaged couples with the Crowning liturgy.

I have a link to the text of the Byzantine Mystery of Crowning. It may be Ruthenian. I am not sure.

Other persons the Forum may be able to help you. There are many knowledgable and resouceful people on this site.

I too, would like to get some color pics of a Melkite Greek Catholic Mystery of Crowning Divine Liturgy.

Best regards,

Paul

Earl,

I thought that Father Ron Golini had the text on-line, but I haven't been able to locate it. Have you checked with Father Titus? If he doesn't have any booklet copies of the text, I may have an extra - will check and let you know.

As to on-line photo albums of same, you might find some photos on one of the parish websites, but it would be by sheer chance, I suspect. I believe that there was a photo or two in the most recent issue of Sophia, from a wedding at which Sayednah Cyril officiated in Chicago.

Many years,

Neil
