Would someone tell me the name of the Byzantine version of the Liturgy of the Hours? And where could I pick up a copy in the Phoenix, Arizona area? Thanks for your responses.

It's called Byzantine Daily Worship. Goes for about $48-50 usually. Don't pay the $112+ on amazon.com for a used copy. I'm still saving up for one... maybe check the Byzantine Seminary Bookstore.

Volodymyr, you can also order the Unabbreviated Horologion from Jordianville or Holy Transfiguration Monastery on line at St. John of Kronstadt Press, www.sjkp.org. [ sjkp.org.] New Skete and St. Tikhon's both also print a Horologion. You can get many readers texts from the Horologion on Father John Whiteford's page, http://pages.prodigy.net/frjohnwhiteford/horologion.htm

+ A Sinner Saved By Grace, Volodymyr Check the bookstore at St. Stephen Pro-Cathedral in Phoenix or ask the pastor, Fr. Stephen, for local availability.

Dear Volodymyr,
(Now doesn't that have a nice ring to it?)
Diak's suggestion concerning the reader services online is excellent.
The nice thing about Fr. Whiteford is that he is also very accessible to discuss things pertaining to the proper celebration of the Hours as an individual and with others (without a priest).
And his services are set for Readers, there is no need to fret about infringing on the prayers of the priest etc.
He is also a convert from Protestantism and has written a number of excellent articles that can be accessed on his site about scripture etc. from an Eastern theological point of view.

Icon and Book Service in Washington, D.C. also carries some of these texts we have discussed and it is an outreach of the Monastery of the Holy Cross (Ukrainian Catholic) in D.C. http://www.iconbook.org
