As I understand it, Loretta [ and if I'm wrong it will be pointed out quite quickly wink ]

"The servant (handmaid) of God (name) receives the precious, most holy, Body and Blood of our Lord, God and Savior, Jesus Christ, for the remission of his/her sins and life everlasting. Amen."

When I hear these words they are in Ukrainian and the above is a translation. Hope this helps.

Angela [ yes folk the education is working wink ]

Grrrh - Phil you have a habit of replying first when I actually know the answer.

I managed it this time - I can't help it if I read it in translation and the words stuck - and they are beautiful words - full of meaning.

Now then don't be unkind to your elders and betters. Show some respect for the grey hairs please wink

Thank you, Angela.

This morning, I heard Father say my name at Communion but I couldn't understand all of what he said. I can truly say that my heart soared at that moment and I've been remembering it all day. I printed this prayer out and put it in my prayer book.

Thank you again,
Loretta
