Glory to Jesus Christ!
The Emmanuel Moleben (a prayer service in preparation for the Nativity of our Lord, God, and Savior Jesus Christ) will be solemnly sung in the chapel of Sts. Cyril and Methodius Byzantine Catholic Seminary, 3605 Perrysville Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15214.
This will take place on Sunday, December 11, 2005. At 4:15 p.m., the Ambrose-Romanos Singers (a professional liturgical choral ensemble) will sing music from the East and the West celebrating the Nativity Fast. At 4:30 p.m., the Rev. Dr. Joseph Raptosh, pastor of Holy Resurrection Byzantine Catholic Church, Monroeville, PA, and professor of pastoral counseling at the Byzantine Catholic Seminary, will preside at the Emmanuel Moleben, with the Ambrose-Romanos Singers leading the faithful in the prostopinije responses of the service.
There is ample free parking on the grounds of the Seminary. Everyone is invited, and encouraged to come early because seating is limited.
