I am looking for a spiritual director.

I am a Roman Catholic who is interested in the spiritual ways of the Eastern Chruches, specifically hesychism, and the spiritual practices of Kiev. I am not interested in leaving communion with Rome, though I am open to guidance from friendly persons of other communions.

I am in eastern Connecticut (New London/Groton), about 45 min from Hartford, and 50 minutes from Providence, RI. And yes, I have spoke with the local Melkite pastor and a local Ruthenian parish, but have run into dead ends with their recommendations. I know it's not ideal, but I am open to a e-mail/post/telephone relationship.

Any help would be appreciated. Let me know!

Neil

PS: Yes, I am considering a "change of rite" but I would definately need some guidance first. Thanks!

Dear Neil,

You might want to try your local Ukrainian Catholic Church and get some advice from the pastor there.

Failing that, I've been a spiritual director to a number of people, but I'm probably not what you are looking for!
