Dear Abdur,
I understand your reference to pork and contact with it in living and prepared forms that you wish upon Usama. At least, I think I do. If I do, it is in truth a most serious curse hoping that he will die without possibility of salvation.
To wish eternal separation from God for Ossama does nothing to what God will work for him in His mercy and justice. As an unthinking and unprayerful reaction, it is an understandable human reaction. For Christians, wishing it in any other context, in my opinion, puts one in conflict with the commandments that set the minimal standards of behavior for us.
I ask without meanness or insult, is the principle the same or different in either the new or other forms of Isalm? This is simply a request for information and not a baiting question.
In Peace!
Steve
JOY!
The pork issue has nothing to do with Usama bin Laden's salvation. It is more an issue of unmasking his hypocrisy, exposing him to the Muslim world as one who is not a true servant of God, but an impostor who lives a charade. The expression is a metaphor. Sorry, I should have been more specific. I didn't think the readers would take me literally.
He wants to die. To force him to live under the circumstances he would be forced to live under in prison would be more than just cruel and unusual punishment, especially in a land of strangers and (to him) bizarre religious beliefs.
Don't torture him. Let him die. That is the Muslim way...at least the Yemenite Muslim way.
In the eyes of Muslims, he has made a pig of himself by disgracing Islam.
Let the poor and very deceived man die. Perhaps, by his death lives will be saved and his life would not have been for naught.
I understand his grief over the many crimes committed by the West and Christendom against Muslim people. But we are just as guilty and that is a fact he finds almost impossible to grasp, let alone believe.
Muslims know how to survive under persecution and we certainly do not have to resort to terrorism to build strong and godly communities. But I do not believe he is capable of understanding that. To him, Islam is terrorism. Let him die, for his own peace of mind and for the sake of others.
Our joy is in the One and Only True God and suffering in His cause.
Ours is not to seek God for the gain of Paradise or for the fear of Hell, but only to seek and love Allah for the sake of Allah.
"There is no God but Allah,
and Muhammed (the most loving, kind, and bravest of Prophets) is the Seal of Allah and His Messenger."
Usama bin Ladin can still die a martyr of God, but not with the blood of others on his hands.
He can die for the True Faith by sacrificing his life for the lives of others.
Martyrdom is the joy of the Muslim and Muslims die well. In His great mercy may Allah, all glory to Him, take the life of His wayward child and grant him the desire of every Muslim: to die bravely, with honor, and enter into the Paradise of Joy.
Islam is joy on earth and in Paradise, joy and awe in beholding the Beloved.
Al'hamdu'llah.
Grant us the Joy of Death!
