Janka,

May the Lord God bless you!

I recommend, with caution, the article " The River of Fire [orthodoxpress.org] " by Alexander Kalomiros. The article has some outstanding information in it. However, you must wade through the underlying point of "trashing" Western thought, which I feel is unecessary, or at least, the point did not have to be made so prominently. However, that being said, you'll find that the article regarding God's love is quite outstanding.

Another outstanding resource is the taped lecture by Fr. Thomas Hopko entitled "The Love of God" (order code CX-TH398AB). There is nothing like a lecture by Fr. Hopko. It can be ordered from St. Vladimir\'s Seminary Bookstore [svots.edu] .

Thank you, Father! I really appreciate both recommendations.

In Christ,

Janka
