Hello everyone, slava Isusu Christu! slava Na Viki! (Christos Voskres! Voistinu Voskres for all you Julians wink )

Today, I had a revelation regarding the choice the Lord made to use wine and bread to become his body (other than the fact that they were traditional foods for the pasch). When I received Him in the Eucharist, I immeadiately thought "the Lord is so sweet, bringing such joy to the Earth" and then, almost at the same time I noticed the Icon of our Lord's suffering, a different taste entered my mouth. I thought "I must never forget that which the Lord has sacrificed for us", almost as though the taste itself was symbolic. This may just be relative to the bread/wine that was used, though I truly believe that this was a type of revelation regarding the choice of the Lord to institute his Holy body in the form of bread and wine.

That's all I have to say at the moment smile
If anyone would like to comment, go right ahead.

In Yeshuah El-Mashy,
Justin

May peace be with you all, brothers ans sisters in Christ
Amen

Hey,

God is uncreated energy. Out of his created energy he grew the wheat and the grape, to become the bread and the wine. At the same time, Jesus, uncreated energy, through God's created energy, became man, to become the sacrificial Lamb. Through this food, we partake of the uncreated energy of God, changed by the Holy Spirit, enabling us to become God-like through his created energy. The meal the Eucharist, as is prayed by the priest, "always eaten, but never consumed." It is the same as the meal given by Christ to his apostles, the Holy Spirit continues to nourish us through that same loaf, the one given up for man.

We must never forget.
