Further to Alex's point, I remember a widely-circulated apocryphal logion: "there is no other sound in the world quite so disgusting as the clink of a wedding ring against a chalice"!. Incognitus

Dear Incognitus,

And that's because laity shouldn't be taking Communion by their profane hands . . .

Well, what ordination of *any* priest is ever done other than "on an individual basis"?

What is apparently left out of this description of the fact(?) that Rome must be consulted. That seems to be the lone circumstance for any bishop in the universal Church to have to consult with Rome before ordaining a man to the priesthood.

And they wonder if we're really Catholic!

I don't think Bishops John (Elya) nor Basil (Losten) consulted with Rome prior to their ordination of married men.

In fact in the case of Bishop Elya, when Cardinal Silvestrini was confronted about his ordination of Fr. St. Germain, he remarked "it is not good that a third party intervene".

Dear Diak,

Better late (coming to that realization) than never, I suppose . . .

Please note that the Romanians also ordain married men in the US; there is a married priest with a bunch of kids serving at the Romanian Cathedral in Canton, Ohio.
