I have attended a Byzantine Catholic Liturgy twice in the past month, and also met with the parish priest prior to attending Liturgy. I was raised a Protestant and at the age of 19 became a Roman Catholic. I am interested in the Byzantine rite because it is refreshing to me and has a great deal of depth to it that I do not even know where to begin learning about it. The Church I attended was St. George's in Aurora. Unfortunately because of a personal conflict I can no longer attend that Church. I guess I am just asking "where does a beginner begin?"

Where do you begin? Thank you for your thirst for knowledge about our Church. I am interpreting your comments to imply that attending one of our parishes is not practical on a regular basis. With that understanding you can get the "Byzantine Book of Prayer" from the Byzantine Seminary Press at the site below [URL=http://www.byzantines.net/byzantinepress/books.htm#lit]
With the prayer book you can pray at your own pace with the Eastern prayers, liturgies and services that are contained in the 624+ pages. The Introduction is 34 pages long and is an excellent introduction to our spirituality and prayer. The music and ritual is lacking but there is much food for the soul in the prayers and contents. This is the "unofficial" prayer book of the Metropolia which all members should have. It is not a substitute for the Bible but most of us from the pre-Vatican II days think of our prayer books as the "Catholic Bible".
May the Holy Spirit inspire you come closer to Christ in whatever manner He chooses.

Dear AV1212, I think you should definitely try attending the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts on Wednesday & Friday evenings during the Great Fast in a Byzantine parish. I also was raised in a Protestant church. Good luck on your journey! -Wolfgang
