I have noticed that in the particular churches examples of the Creed. that are included in the ECF's"God with us" publication. Grade 3[God calls us together] use either a small or big "c" in the word catholic. Which would have been in the original Creed? unworthy servant of God

Such adjectives are not properly capitalized either in Greek or in Latin.

Greek and Latin may not capitalize, but English does.

We capitalize proper nouns in English.

Catholic meaning the Catholic Church is big 'c'

catholic meaning "universal" is small 'c'

creed meaning a profession of faith is small 'c'

Creed meaning the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creen is big 'c'

As to English usage, you are correct. But the original question was what the original capitalization was. To that question, English is not relevant; Latin and Greek are.

By the same token, incidentally, "Orthodox" in ecclesiastical usage (as in the phrase of the Great Entrance "all of you, Orthodox Christians . . .") is properly capitalized in English, while it is not capitalized, for example, in the phrase "orthodox Keynsian economics".
