Slava Isusu Christu!
Friends,
Due to the ongoing debate of the nature of Purgatory with some of our Latin friends, I was reminded of a post on here from not too long ago, maybe less than a year. We were having a discussion here about hell and eternal punishment and someone posted a rather interesting concept of what Hell is. I remember it saying something about being in the presence of God and feeling the Fire of His Love at full force, a fire which "burnt" up all our shortcomings and misdeeds. Those who were baptized had something akin to a "golden house" that protected their soul from the Fire. Those whose faith inspired them to do good had other "structures" built of gold and silver which also was spared the fire.
I've tried searching and cannot seem to come across it. I want to share this with my girlfriend, who is as fascinated by this concept as I was. Does anyone else remember this post? Or even remember posting it themselves?
In Christ,
mikey.
