Pani Rose,
We live in Spartanburg. Rock Hill, I think is about 2 hours away. It's nice because we are relatively close to the mountains and the beach. Skiing in the winter (for hubby) and trips to the shore (for the kids).

Stephanos I,
With 2 small children who aren't even school-age, it would be very difficult. My husband is going to speak to Fr. Scott and see if we can arrange something on a monthly basis for his instruction.

Having lived upstate for several years, I know the Upstate well, especially York, Chester, and Lancaster Counties.

If you're homesick for Great Falls, go visit my website at www.realhomepages.com/wecapps [realhomepages.com] for some photos.

Greetings Sahm,
We are parishioners at Epiphany as well. We love the parish and the Byzantine rite. We are Roman Catholics in the the process of changing rites. When we first started to attend, Father Scott recommended The Orthodox Handbook, a 4 volume set published by the Orthodox Church in America. It is available directly from the OCA and costs about $30 for the set. We also found a two volume set called The Living God, published by St Vladimir's Seminary Press to be helpful. It is about $30 for the set also. This set can be obtained from St Vladimir's directly or from Seton Homeschool. Seton also carries some books about icons that might help too. They are Orthodox, however, and not Catholic--but the differences are really quite minor. Hope this helps. And hope to meet you one day before or after Divine Liturgy.
