Last week, a copy of the Papp Irmologion was on E-Bay. I bid on it about three minutes before the auction ended, but somebody outbid me at the last minute. Did one of your Forum-ites outbid me? C'mon, fess up! wink

Dave,

You had outbid me! Too funny! If only we had known. I was going to rebid, but forgot to check the time and it slipped by...oh well. wink

Steve,

You know how cut-throat us lovers of Prostopinije can be when it comes to rare books like that. biggrin

Now I'm just hoping that somebody will make a PDF version of the Irmologion, just like what was done to the Bokshaj book.

I haven't heard back from the folks at Patronage; does anyone know if reproduction rights to the 1970 recordings and the Papp Irmologion have been obtained, or if they've been put into the public domain?

If I can do it legally, I'd be happy to scan my copy of Papp in as a PDF, and include it and the the Slavonic recordings (I have them broken out, cleaned up and indexed) on the Metropolitan Cantor Institute Website.

The Papp Irmologion is downloadable as a pdf at the Patronage site.

Djs,it really is a great recording. While I don't have the modern technology to "burn" a CD copy, I can hook up my tape deck (cassette, not 8-track) to my computer a make cassette tape copy.

The Papp / Petraevič recordings [metropolitancantorinstitute.org] are now on the Metropolitan Cantor Institute website, with a more detailed listing of contents. The Recorded Music page [metropolitancantorinstitute.org] has individual .mp3 files for each selection, in a slightly more consistent order than the one in which they appear on the albums.
