CIX!

Divine Liturgy will again be celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Chapel at Mount St. Mary Seminary in Emmitsburg, Md., at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, the Feast of St. Andrew, the First-Called. All are invited to the Liturgy, which will be attended by the seminarians. Fr. Lee Gross will be concelebrating with other Byzantine and Latin Church priests and deacons.

Fr. Lee is a priest of the R.C. Diocese of Arlington, Va. A former Protestant, Fr. Lee is Dean of Seminarians at MSM and has a bi-ritual indult. He serves the Byzantine Catholic (Ruthenian) mission community of Epiphany of Our Lord in Gaithersburg (Montgomery County), Maryland.

This Divine Liturgy on the Feast of St. Andrew has been celebrated for the past several years and helps expose Latin Church seminarians and clergy to the Byzantine Church/Rite. In fact, the seminarian choir learns the responses for the Liturgy and assists in the singing. Fr. Lee also provides an opportunity for seminarians to attend Divine Liturgy with him at the mission community on Sundays.

Fr. Lee is supported in this yearly Divine Liturgy by Fr. John G. Basarab, pastor of Epiphany of Our Lord Church in Annandale, Va., and his deacons, as well as many of the faithful of Epiphany's mission community in Gaithersburg.

If you know of any Byzantines in the greater Frederick, Md.- Gettysburg, Pa. area who may be interested in attending the Liturgy, please pass on this information.

Thank you.

Thanks for the info, I really enjoyed the Byzanteen Youth Rally there this Summer. I will tell anyone I know and surely see you there at the seminary's liturgy on Nov. 30 with my whole family.

But just remember some latin priests won't like it very much..hahahaha

So they've told me..it's too dramatic..drives me crazy to hear this.
