Are there any Byzantine Catholic church that you recommend in Michigan. I have just started to explore the Byzantine Catholic Church.

This site can certainly give leads, but it is definitely out of date. It does not have our mission in Tennessee listed, despite nearly half-a-dozen requests to include it over a period of 5 years.

There is a lovely Melkite Church on No. Mill Street in Plymouth, Michigan. It has been there for seven years. It is well attended with over 100 people in attendance. I don't know why this Church is not listed on the Melkite Website. Perhaps it is still technically a mission. They offer a fine robust liturgy...though sadly they use pews.

I know the original poster asked for Byzantine Churches, but there are also Maronite, Chaldean, and Armenian parishes, a Syro-Malankara mission, and a Syro-Malabar Mission.

See here: http://www.aodonline.org/AODOnline/...or.asp?ParishLocatorPageType=EasternRite

The Syro-Malankara mission isn't listed there, but the address is:
Rev. Mathew C. George
8075 Ritter Avenue
Center Line, MI

When visiting my family in Michigan we worship at St Michael's Byzantine Church in Flushing. It is a beautiful temple, but the liturgy is a bit abbreviated; an hour at most... frown

I can't help but wonder if they would acknowledge the existence of Holy Resurrection if y'all conveniently forget to send the tithe to Pittsburgh?
Much Love,

Metropolitan Basil knows we are here, so that's the important thing. He's found us at least a couple of times when he has visited.

I am personally familiar with both St. Stephen's (Allen Park) and St. Basil's (Sterling Heights)
and can recommend both wholeheartily.
