H.B. HERMAN of the OCA is on pilgrimage to Alaska in honor of the upcoming feast day of St. Herman of Alaska. www.oca.org [oca.org] has some interesting pictures of what transpired a few days ago, and I assume will be posting additional photos of the subsequent days on a few days' delay.

What's the deal with the titles? The OCA used to use "His Beatitude" and "His Grace" but now they use "The Most Blessed" and "Right Reverend". Why the change?

Daniil --

"His Beatitude" and "His Grace" are the most common terms used. If you look at the press releases on the OCA's website, you'll see that these are the terms most frequently used.

"The Most Blessed" and "Rt. Rev." are more formal terms, or titles, more than they are forms of address. That is, one would address Metropolitan Herman as "Your Beatitude", but the caption under a photograph might read "The Most Blessed Herman...".
