Greetings,

I am looking for a book that has the readins of the week and the gospels as well as the Sunday readings and Gospels. Does anyone know if one exists? I bought one yesterday, paid $75.00 for it and it is not the right one.

Can anyone help?

I know of no one volume Byzantine Lectionary. The Byzantine Seminary Press publishes and the Seminary bookstore sells an Epistle Book for $40 and a Gospel book for $80. Both contain all the weekday, Sunday, and Feastday readings.

In Christ,

I'm cheap.

For personal use, I just use the calendar & a Bible.

Dear Brother Peter;

The best I have found is:

The Bible and the Holy Fathers for Orthodox.
Monastery Books, Menlo Park, CA, 1989.
ISBN 0-9622536-0-X

The readings are laid out as you desire followed by a reflection from the Church Fathers. That is the epistle and gospel for each day of the year is laid out and includes the OT readings for Lent, etc.

However, you may also want to invest in a pair of reading glasses. For some reason, the publishers decided to put the readings in about a 6 point font while the reflections are in a 10 point font. The translation is NKJV.

I hope this is what you are looking for.

Glory to Jesus Christ!

Here's a link for 'The Bible and Holy Fathers' with what I believe is the new name for it:

Grace for Grace: The Psalter and the Holy Fathers [amazon.com]

God Bless!

They are two separate books. I have them in front of me right now.

"Grace for Grace: The Psalter and the Holy Fathers" deals with the Psalms.

"The Bible and the Holy Fathers for Orthodox" deals with the Epistle and Gospel reading (and some Old Testament readings) for the whole year.

Both are excellent resources for study and for sermons.
