Good heavens; a book of mine has made it into PDF! Whatever will happen next? (Perhaps I could be run through a zerox maching, with clones of me dispatched hither and thither to the horror of . . . well, never mind whom).

Have just skimmed what's available on that website - this is a very rich collection of materials. May God bless those who have labored to provide this for all of us.

Yes, the Patronage site has done the Church a great service by all that they have provided on the site. Especially nice are the photocopies of the 1965 English Liturgikon (the old "red book" for the altar) and the Rome Slavonic editions such as the Sluzhebnik and the Chasoslov.

By the way, for the benefit of those who seem to think that Stauropegion Press is simply my own alter ego, this is the first that I've heard of any request from Holy Protection to put my book on the web, or of the Press granting permission. However, I am quite pleased that this has happened, and the Press is certainly within its rights (or rather, the people who run Stauropegion Press are certainly within their rights, if I may be allowed that distinction!).

I have begun reading Fr Serge's book via pdf file. It is enlightening indeed. I did not know the extent of the history of turmoil in the Ruthenian Catholic Church--and most of it self-inflicted! One would think that lessons would be learned by the mistakes of the past. I am now more convinced than ever that the reformed Liturgy has set the stage for more heartache--of which the poor BCC may never recover. I often wondered why this sweeping reform was shrouded in such gnostic-like secrecy. And then it came to me...

The committee was fearful of Fr Serge's critique! smile

Dear Recluse,

Thanks for the compliments! Nice to see that my book is acquiring more readers.
