Dear Brethren,

Enjoy, it seems many of your concerns have been addressed.

And this is the currently approved translation of the Creed for the new Liturgy.

"PEOPLE: I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible. And I believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God. Born of the Father before all ages. God of God, Light of Light, true God of true God. Begotten, not made, of one substance with the Father. By whom all things were made. Who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven. And He became flesh by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary: and was made man. He was also crucified for us, suffered under Pontius Pilate, and was buried. And on the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead. And of His kingdom there will be no end. And I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. Who together with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, and who spoke through the prophets. And one holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. And I await the resurrection of the dead. And the life of the world to come. Amen."

Dear Geoffrey,

This is the UGCC Divine Liturgy, not the Ruthenien which is under discussion.

I'm actually wondering

1) where did Geoffrey Miller get this from - the URL means nothing to me

2) when was it actually put up on the web ?

Geoffrey - care to satisfy my curiosity ?

Anhelyna

[edit] taa Alexandr - oh and we no longer actually include the filioque smile [/edit]

It's not a typo, but the rubrics say its optional to say. You still have to accept its truth though. The Holy Spirit does indeed proceed from the Father and the Son. But look at it this way, all inclusive language has been removed. Mankind, men, all that is back in. It's great, read over it. We mostly were victorious in getting the right changes.

It's from esoptron information sources at the university of Maryland. Current liturgical texts and proposed liturgical texts are posted on there to promote discussion among the laity. This is indeed the New Revised Liturgy.

The online text of the liturgy was last updated in september of 2005. Another draft has not been made since then. This is probably the last one.

Dear Geoffrey, here is the homepage :

http://esoptron.umd.edu/ugc/

Information about the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church
Eastern Byzantine Rite

True, this is a valid Byzantine Rite Liturgy, but it is not the revised Liturgy of the Pittsburgh Byzantine Catholic Metropolia, which is the liturgy under discussion.
The Revisionists are way too careful to allow that to be seen.

Dear Geoffrey

I really think that you should take the time [ a considerable amount will be needed ] to quietly go through the threads on this Forum.

I'm not trying to be nasty - but it seems to me that what you have found is not exactly up to date even for members of the UGCC frown

That same page ( http://esoptron.umd.edu/ugc/liturgy1.html ) has been there in its current form (including the words "New Revised Liturgy") since at least 1998, according to the Wayback Machine [archive.org].
