CWNews.com - Pope Benedict XVI met on March 28 with Orthodox Archbishop Chrysostomos II of Cyprus, for a discussion of the problems of the Middle East in general and Cyprus in particular.

The Pope spoke with the Orthodox leader about religious liberty in Cyprus, where Turkish troops still control much of the northern part of the island, after an incursion in 1974. Archbishop Chrysostomos greeted Pope Benedict when the Pontiff visited Cyprus in 2007.
