CWN - Negotiators for the Holy See and the Palestinian Authority have announced progress in talks aimed at a diplomatic accord establishing the legal standing of Catholic institutions on Palestinian territory.

After a September 26 meeting in Rome, Vatican and Palestinian representatives issued a joint statement reporting that talks had been held “in a cordial and constructive atmosphere.” Reporting “with great satisfaction” that a working group had made progress on a draft of the final accord, they resolved to meet again early next year.
