CWN - A parish has been desecrated in Manykivtsi, a village in western Ukraine.
Vandals poured oil over the altar and stole the tabernacle after ripping it out of the wall, according to a report published by the Religious Information Service of Ukraine.
“If it was an ordinary robbery, the thieves would have not left the cups and vessels, which stood in a prominent place,” said Father Oleksandr Prosyaniuk.
“Recently, we installed another cross at the entrance to the village,” he added. “On the other side of the village a cross was also installed. Also in the center of the village stands a consecrated figure of the Mother of God. Satan revolts against everything good that is happening in the parish, in the village.”
