The European Court of Human Rights has ruled that Greece’s civil union law violates the European Convention on Human Rights because the law does not provide for homosexual civil unions.
“The Court reiterated that same-sex couples were just as capable as different-sex couples of entering into stable committed relationships,” according to a November 7 press release.
CWN - The court ordered Greece to pay damages to the homosexual couples who filed suit against the nation.
