CWN - Coptic Orthodox Pope Tawadros II has encouraged Egypt’s Christians to participate in a constitution referendum this week, saying that a vote is “a duty and a responsibility.”
Muslim religious leaders—including Sheik Ahmed al Tayyed, the head of the influential Al Azhar University—have also encouraged participation in the referendum, as Egypt seeks to emerge from a period of instability following the “Arab Spring” uprising.
