CWN - A suicide bomber attacked a bus of South Korean Christians traveling from St. Catherine’s Monastery to Israel, killing three and wounding two dozen.

Ansar Bait al-Maqdis, a Salafist jihadist group active in the Sinai Peninsula, claimed responsibility for the attack, according to a Reuters report.

Blessed John Paul II made a pilgrimage to St. Catherine’s Monastery, which is located at Mount Sinai, during the great jubilee of the year 2000.
