CWN - "We cannot remain silent in the face of the project to cancel Christians from the Holy Land and other places," the president of the Italian Catholic bishops’ conference said in an August 27 address.
Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco said that the murder to thousands of Christians is “an unacceptable disgrace,” against which “our consciences must rebel.” He said that Europeans would be guilty of “unforgivable cowardice” if they failed to respond.
