CWN - The beheadings of American journalists are typical examples of the brutality of the Islamic State, an Iraqi bishop told the Asia News service.

“We are not faced with exceptional deeds,” said Archbishop Shimoun Emil Nona of Mosul, “because this modus operandi by the Islamic army is a normal thing.”

“They have massacred so many people, but nobody is talking about it,” the archbishop said, referring to the killings of Christians and other minorities in northern Iraq. He said that the videotaped killings of two American journalists were intended as propaganda, to challenge the American people.
