CWN - The head of the Russian Orthodox Church has called upon the Russian people to safeguard their unity and ignore Western pressure.
“Those who see themselves as the winners of the Cold War tell all other countries that the path of development determined by them is right and, further still, the only possible one for mankind,” Patriarch Kirill of Moscow said on November 11, according to an Interfax report.
“They seek to impose their own understanding of the economy and the state structure on the world, seek to suppress any determination to promote values and ideals that differ from their own values and ideals, which, as we know, center on the idea of the consumer society,” he added.
