CWN - Citing abortion, euthanasia, and homosexual unions, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church said that Europe’s secularism has reached ‘apocalyptic’ proportions.

Patriarch Kirill made his remarks in Serbia as he was being honored at the University of Belgrade.

“Now that the process of secularization, denial of the absolute truth, the removal of the very concept of sin from public consciousness reaches unseen, apocalyptic dimensions, we have to say with regret that many European countries have given up their Christian identity,” he said, according to an Interfax report.
