CWN - Ukraine’s Roman-rite and Byzantine-rite bishops gathered for a joint retreat and renewed their pleas for peace.
“The call for peace is based on truth and justice; it comes from the depths of our hearts,” said the bishops, according to a report from the Religious Information Service of Ukraine. “How much suffering, how much destruction, how much pain has been caused and is now caused by the use of weapons in our region.”
The bishops also called upon politicians to serve the common good and prayed for those in “the remarkable vocation of married life.”
