CWN - Vice President Joe Biden traveled recently to Ukraine to mark the first anniversary of Euromaidan, the wave of protests that led to the ouster of a pro-Russian President Viktor Yanukovych.
While in Ukraine, Biden met with the head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church during a recent visit to Ukraine. During the meeting, Major Archbishop Sviatoslav Shevchuk said that the Ten Commandments should be displayed in the national legislature to “remind our deputies in which direction they should move and how to pass or not pass certain laws,” according to a statement from the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.
Biden, in turn, “expressed his gratitude for the fact that the Church hierarchs together with Ukrainian politicians participated in the 62nd National Prayer Breakfast” in Washington in February.
