CWN - The Coptic Catholic Bishop of Luxor, Egypt, has told the Fides news service that Christians in the area are afraid to leave their homes, and running out of food, as Islamic militants continue to menace the Christian minority.

Bishop Youhannes Zakaria told Fides that he, too, was “segregated at home.” After Egyptian military forces routed supporters of former President Morsi, he said, the Islamic militants surrounded his residence, chanting “Death to Christians.” Military forces are guarding the building, he said, but have advised him to remain indoors.
